Hilary Duff has spoken about her time on the set of Gossip Girl, revealing the cast have made her feel more than welcome.

Currently shooting for the new season, where she plays Olivia Burke - a roommate for Vanessa (played by Jessica Szohr) - she told reporters: “Everyone’s been really, really gracious to me and sweet to me.”

“I’m a huge fan of the show. They called me and said come on and do a few episodes. I jumped at the chance,” People quote her as saying.

Hilary Duff was named “Ambassador for the Youth” in Bogota by Mayor Samuel Moreno at the Palacio Lievano (Bogota City Hall).

Duff is in the Colombian capitol on an ambitious four-day mission to bring meals to the city’s underprivileged children on behalf of “Blessings in a Backpack,” a U.S.-based program, which feeds underprivileged children in grades K-10. Duff’s agenda includes distributing nutritious meals to children in orphanages and hospitals and meeting with ex-gang members.
